The network said documents released by New York's attorney general Monday indicated a greater level in his brother's efforts than the network previously knew.

NEW YORK — CNN indefinitely suspended anchor Chris Cuomo on Tuesday after details emerged about how he helped his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, to face charges of sexual harassment earlier this year.

The network said documents released by New York’s attorney general Monday indicated Cuomo took a greater level of involvement in his brother’s efforts than CNN executives previously knew.

“As a result, we have suspended Chris indefinitely, pending further evaluation,” the network said.
With his ratings, CNN just did themselves a favor.

The CNN anchor pressed sources for information on his brother’s accusers and reported back to the governor’s staff, and was active in helping craft their response to the charges, according to emails and a transcript of his testimony to investigators working for state Attorney General Letitia James. Her office found Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed at least 11 women.
He's a piece of shit, like his brother. They should both be in jail.

Your conditioning isn’t to the “take him out back and execute him” yet.

It will be soon, I’m sure.

I think Gary is already there so kudos for being marginally less weak minded than him, I suppose.

Hannity if he is in the same circumstances would you be 'open minded'?

Likewise, this whole little "Cuomo crisis" is not a product of outside critics, but of the insular clique of leftwing media forced to choke down a bit of their own snake oil.

I see a bit of conservative commentary rallying to Chris Cuomo's defense, notably Greg Gutfeld and Tucker Carlson. Gutfeld is on a tongue-in-cheek riff, and Carlson's line that Family Comes First would apply equally well to the Bidens or the Clintons covering for each other.

And had CNN decided to support Chris, surely they would've been the target of at least the same amount of flak they're getting now. They can't win at this point.

Nor should they. The time for them to have acted to keep their house clean was long ago. CNN was once the gold standard of cable news and cutting edge journalism.

So now CNN is taking its top-drawing anchor off the air, responding to heat from fellow left-leaning media, so I read. This can't be the happiest day for CNN, or for dozens of viewers in airports everywhere.

Anderson Cooper read CNN's statement on Cuomo's suspension with Jeffrey Toobin by his side. Cuomo will be back. They always come back.

                        He ain't going quietly though:

Cuomo is “livid” at his termination and in talks with lawyers, a person familiar with the matter told The Daily Beast.

“This is not how I want my time at CNN to end. But I have already told you why and how I helped my brother,” Cuomo said in a statement immediately after the news broke.

Apparently not. They canned him. In other words, they see the writing on the wall after talking to their lawyers and know that they are at risk of getting sued right into oblivion over Kyle Rittenhouse and right after Nicholas Sandman. They're going to be writing big checks for a long time, so they better do what they can to try to fend off what they can.

Cuomo was just the first, most obvious choice. He was the first disposable moron that they had to toss under the bus, and then they'll wait and see who's next to go, but I'm betting there will be more.

Now, whether BSDNC and others wise up is a question yet to be answered, but I'm fairly certain that they're already feeling the heat.

Good grief, his body isn't even cold.

But I expect nothing less from this giant scumbag turd:

CNN's Brian Stelter on Chris Cuomo firing: He caused 'so many headaches' for CNN, staffers were 'very unhappy'

The 'Reliable Sources' host previously claimed Cuomo upheld journalistic 'boundaries' with his brother

The "Reliable Sources" host dinged Cuomo for "acting like an unpaid staffer" for his brother based on the documents released by the AG despite how "it was known months ago" that the anchor was helping the governor.

This marked a sharply different tone from CNN's media correspondent, who previously defended Cuomo and downplayed the journalistic ethics violations.
Fredo, sue him for defamation...let's get this party started!!

Stelter also previously suggested Cuomo's public scolding by CNN in May calling his communications with the governor's team "inappropriate" was enough of a reprimand.

"Telling a well-off host to hang out by the pool for a couple of weeks is not a real punishment," Stelter told viewers in August as Cuomo began his "long-planned vacation" at the time. "Scolding a host in public, saying what they did was 'inappropriate,' that is an actual punishment."
Who are these people that believe such BS.
