    Biden's newser

Trying my best to follow his rambling answers, but it's turning my brain to mush. The transcript should be fun.

He keeps asking "What's he for?" rambling about McConnell, or "What are the Republicans for?" At one point he specified the border, something like, "What's he for, on immigration."

    Boy, that's a stumper.

I think the reporters are out to humiliate him by remaining deathly quiet. He's ruminating.

I almost wonder if his "team" has pitched him over. Maybe they're looking past his shortening tenure.

I saw a brief report on his presser, on FOX I think, and they put together clips on various issues, each clip about 5 words long, that were sensible, and made him look like a sentient adult.

But to watch any uncut segment at all is to see a baffling mess.

Peppermint Patti did a 'clean up on aisle 3' today.

Puddin head and Peppermint Patti both claim he wasn't comparing people who don't support his anti voting act to racists, in his Georgia speech, which he clearly did
Robert Francis O'Rourke, Democrat, White guy, spent ~78 million to defeat, Ted Cruz, Republican immigrant Dark guy and lost
        But the Republicans are racist.

This one is good, and it's from CNN no less:

After a reporter asked Biden a series of questions on the issue of government competence, Biden told a story about visiting a vaccine manufacturer as part of his efforts to speed up production of Covid-19 vaccines. He said, "When we were pushing on AstraZeneca to provide more vaccines -- guess what, they didn't have the machinery to be able to do it. So I physically went to Michigan, stood there in a factory with the head of the -- of AstraZeneca, and said, 'We'll provide machinery for you. This is what we'll do. We'll help you do it so you can produce this vaccine more rapidly.' I think that's pretty hands-on stuff."

            .......

Biden cited the wrong vaccine manufacturer. He was attempting to describe his February 2021 visit to a Pfizer plant in Michigan, not an AstraZeneca plant. The official White House transcript of the news conference crossed out Biden's mentions of AstraZeneca and replaced them with Pfizer, signaling that Biden misspoke.

            https://www.cnn.com/2022/01/20/polit...022/index.html

So now they're editing transcripts to cover for Biden's poor recollection.

And he's again taking credit for something Trump did:

              Surprise medical bills

While listing examples of "enormous progress" during his first year, Biden said, "And we just made surprise medical bills illegal in this country."
Facts First: Biden's claim was lacking key context at best, misleading at worst. His "we just" phrasing could have led listeners to believe that he was the person who signed the law to ban surprise medical bills. In fact, former President Donald Trump signed the bipartisan measure in late 2020. The Biden administration did, however, have to develop a series of rules to turn the law into reality.
The law took effect at the beginning of this month -- so Biden's "we just" could perhaps be defended as a reference to the law's effective date rather than the date the law was signed. Still, he could've been much clearer.
CNN's Tami Luhby reported in December that the law bans most unexpected medical charges from out-of-network providers. You can read more details here.

This essay by Patricia McCarthy reflects my own thoughts pretty well:

When Joe Biden speaks, sane people are horrified - American Thinker

If there was any doubt that Joe Biden is unfit for the office of president of the United States, yesterday's marathon press conference put such qualms to rest. But the signs have been there all along, while his decline into incoherent totalitarian irascibility is accelerating.
The sad aspect of it all was that one could tell Biden thought he was dazzling his audience. He was, as usual, quick to anger when asked a question that intimated that he was less than the best president ever. He insisted that he had outperformed all previous presidents! He accepted no responsibility for inflation, for the disastrous debacle in Afghanistan, for the administration's confusing and ever-changing advice and restrictions re: COVID. Everything and anything that has gone wrong is not his fault.

There were many moments of awkward silence as he thumbed through notes on the podium or suffered one of those mind-freezes that have become so familiar. He seemed to throw Ukraine under the bus by approving of a "minor incursion" by Putin into that nation.
                    She finishes:

The Wednesday press conference only proved again that this president and his staff are incompetent, that Biden himself is not mentally fit, that the Democrat party is officially a Marxist party that cares not one whit about the American people or the Constitution. These are dangerous times. The midterm elections cannot come soon enough.

The left wing cable news(?) channels seemed to abandon him today.
CNN... described his speech as 'foggy meandering'
CNN.. he questioned the legitimacy of upcoming elections if the (non)Voting rights bill didn't pass, which he knows will not pass.
MSNBC Joe was seen as weak.

                            etc.

He might as well sit out the rest of his term in the basement of his Delaware home.

When CNN and MSNBC make those comments you have lost it all.

The only reason I can see for the length of this debacle was to prove on camera that he could function for 2 hours.
The problem was the wake up drugs wore off and he and he went into 'foggy meandering' mode

Puddin Head and Peppermint Patti both lied about comparing opposition to the (non)Voting Rights Bill to racists.
It's akin to 'the meaning of is is' defense.
