This isn't really about covid here. This is a totalitarian government capriciously throwing tens of millions of its own citizens into imminent threat of death. I confess I haven't plowed into the story in the last day or so, and I think China has recoiled a bit and is trying to "manage" the lockdown a bit.

The magnitude of this rivals the size of the great twentieth century calamities and is the essence of terrorism: demonstrate power to intimidate the target. It's being conducted under the cover of Putin's invasion of Ukraine, and I doubt the left-leaning media is covering it significantly. I think the screams should be the soundtrack behind NBA teams entering the basketball courts, the soundtrack behind Disney's nighttime parade of lights.

It's worth transcribing this Rush Limbaugh-like phrase tumble to look closely at this sentence: "You use lockdowns to get people vaccinated so that when you open up you won't have a surge in infections, because you're dealing with an immunologically naive population to the virus, because they've not really been exposed to the virus because of the lockdown."
Here, lockdowns are the problem and the solution. Lockdowns create an "immunologically naive" population which must be motivated to get vaccinated because they are immunologically naive because of the lockdowns.
