State Department ordered to review 15,000 new Clinton documents in email case

State Department ordered to review 15,000 new Clinton documents in email case

A federal judge set the schedule for the possible release of 15,000 new Hillary Clinton documents
The new emails are being provided to the conservative group Judicial Watch

Washington (CNN)A federal judge set a preliminary schedule Monday for the release of nearly 15,000 documents between Hillary Clinton and top aides when she was the secretary of state.

The State Department was directed to assess 14,900 documents it received from the FBI as part of the investigation into Clinton's use of her private email server while she was secretary of state, determine a plan to release the documents and report back to the court September 23.

The State Department had proposed releasing the documents the second week of October, but Judge James Boasberg of the US District Court for the District of Columbia, at the request of the conservative watchdog group, Judicial Watch, is asking State to focus on new documents uncovered by the FBI.
It's unclear how many of the documents are emails.

FBI Director James Comey said in July the FBI "discovered several thousand work-related e-mails that were not in the group of 30,000 that were returned by Secretary Clinton to State in 2014."

"As we have previously explained, the State Department voluntarily agreed to produce to Judicial Watch any emails sent or received by Secretary Clinton in her official capacity during her tenure as Secretary of State which are contained within the material turned over by the FBI and which were not already processed for FOIA by the State Department," State Department spokesman Mark Toner said Monday.
Meanwhile, Republicans on Capitol Hill upped the political pressure on Clinton by subpoenaing three technology companies involved in her unusual home server setup.

The subpoenas were issued after the companies did not cooperate with a House committee's investigation into the issue, said Rep. Lamar Smith, R-Texas, who chairs the House Science, Space and Technology Committee, "Companies providing services to Secretary Hillary Clinton's private email account and server are not above the law. These companies have failed to comply with our committee's request for documents and interviews that would provide information critical to understanding Secretary Clinton's private server and informing policy changes in how to prevent similar email arrangements in the future," said Smith who added the information was needed to determine if Clinton's servers met federal government security standards.
So, Clinton's lawyers were allowed to determine which emails were 'work-related' which is akin to my husband deciding which of my old emails were work-related. That's a laugh. Mr. Snaps could not determine which lunches were social and which were were work. I did met people off-site at their request for a ski thing or bike ride - it was work. So were the parties and networking meet-ups. It was work even though on my email it looked social. A casual glance at who was there would peg it as a work thing, not a friend thing.

Now, we have nearly as many more to plow through.

Who would hire someone like this? Would you? Someone who lied, cheated, and defied policy? Someone who would lie when the truth would do?

CNN is the kindest article on this because it's strictly nothing unlike its normal reporting stance which is strictly left of center. It's not objective so much as it is cringing.

Great news! Some of the new emails involving Clinton herself include various big ticket donors to the Clinton Foundation making "requests" to the Sec'y of State.

I guess that 'firewall' between Clinton and her foundation needed a few more bricks and some lighter fluid.

You can't make this stuff up.

But, sadly, it won't matter to her followers and voters. They'll continue to ignore her acceptance of bribes.

The Clinton response is two-fold: "My emails are boring. I've already released 30,000; what's a few more?" (I paraphrase) And, There's no proof that "hrc" gave any specific favors to donors.

No proof, old news. Oh, and anyone in a "poutrage" is just frustrated that she's crushing the GOP, Trump in particular.

Y'know, it's not like the arrogance of a successful criminal is a new phenomenon.

The legal corruption that is the heart and soul of the American political system is perfectly okay as long as it isn't Clinton. Hell, "conservatives" cheer it when it is a Koch binge.

Well that and then say that because you disagree with Citizens United nobody should think her activities are shady even if they are illegal.
