    No Generation Gap Here

Me: For some reason, I have "Uncle Albert" stuck in my head.

    HRH: I'm so sorry.

"Since the historic ruling, the Lovings have become icons for equality. Mildred released a statement on the 40th anniversary of the ruling in 2007: 'I am proud that Richard’s and my name is on a court case that can help reinforce the love, the commitment, the fairness, and the family that so many people, Black or white, young or old, gay or straight, seek in life. I support the freedom to marry for all. That’s what Loving, and loving, are all about.'." - Mildred Loving (Loving v. Virginia)

Well, she also listens to K-pop, big band/swing, Dolly Parton and Broadway musicals from all eras.

Whenever I hear myself pontificating on how much better our music was, I force myself to listen to bubblegum.

If Nova wanted to piss me off, he would blast disco.

HRH was properly introduced to those legendary artists. Their version of Refugee is so tragically bad it's good.

The music aside, I was always fascinated by the talent required to sing the song slowly but on key at 16 so that it would sound right at 33 1/3.
