Petition wants Obama to drink his urine during 'Running Wild' appearance

    Urine for a treat.

Petition wants Obama to drink his urine during 'Running Wild' appearance

President Obama will be making his reality television debut later this year when he appears on NBC’s “Running Wild with Bear Grylls.”

    ...

    Here’s what the petition says:

President Barack Obama is scheduled to meet with Bear Grylls during his visit to Alaska, who will give the president a “crash course in survival techniques.” If there’s one thing we all know about Bear Grylls’ techniques, it’s that they mostly involve drinking his own urine. And so: We ask that Obama do the right thing and drink his own urine during a taping of “Running Wild with Bear Grylls.” For science. The people demand it.
    Enjoy.

    Unless he's Hindu, I wouldn't advise it.

Gryils is an interesting guy as is my BIL. I wouldn't consider either one of them role models.

      Great. President Reality Show.

And people worry about Trump getting elected?
It's been ten years since that lonely day I left you
In the morning rain, smoking gun in hand
Ten lonely years but how my heart, it still remembers
Pray for me, momma, I'm a gypsy now

I haven't seen anyone worried about Trump getting elected. I've seen Republicans worried about him being a bull in their primary China shop, and I've seen liberals hand-wringing over how popular his anti-Mexico rhetoric is in some quarters, but I've yet to see someone worried that he might actually get elected. I know a few people who hope he gets elected, but they are pretty loosely tethered to reality.
        Enjoy.

          You have now.

I am afraid President Trump is the answer to the question, "What if people cared as much about the presidential election as they did American Idol?"

Ah, well you've changed your position, then. Last time I asked, you didn't expect him to stay in the race until the Iowa caucus. It's a reasonable shift, because he's defied a lot of expectations along those lines already.
              Enjoy.

Yes. I am a bit stunned by the Trump thing. Usually, while not being completely able to predict things, I at least feel comfortable about a range of things that can happen. Trump's popularity with Republicans (and others) has defied that. It is wholly new and I am not sure what to make of it. It is uncomfortable for me because we are closer to Idiocracy than I thought possible.

It's so funny when liberals think Trump is a signal that we're declining but then think that Obama voters who are beyond ignorant are "intelligent" for voting on the basis of his skin color alone.

Nah, it's just Reagan worship on steroids. The electorate has been moving in this direction for a long time. Two words: Jesse Ventura. I blame it on the elimination of civics/problems of democracy (what it was called in MD schools) as a required course.
"Since the historic ruling, the Lovings have become icons for equality. Mildred released a statement on the 40th anniversary of the ruling in 2007: 'I am proud that Richard’s and my name is on a court case that can help reinforce the love, the commitment, the fairness, and the family that so many people, Black or white, young or old, gay or straight, seek in life. I support the freedom to marry for all. That’s what Loving, and loving, are all about.'." - Mildred Loving (Loving v. Virginia)

By the way, no word on whether or not Obama drank urine, but he did eat some bear's salmon leftovers.

Possibilities other than triviality and inanity include he is the only Republican candidate that isn't a plutocratic boot lick, he is filling the know-nothing populist space that hasn't had any real representation since the Southern racists switched from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party, and generic fascism.

I thought maybe it was his "we'll make America great again" message, which is in the same space as "morning in America" but every non-incumbent always promises to restore greatness. He certainly doesn't resemble Reagan on immigration.
