    Disappointing GDP Results

    GDP slows to 2.1% in second quarter but beats expectations thanks to strong consumer
    • GDP rose 2.1% in the second quarter, down from 3.1% in Q1.
    • The growth was better than Wall Street estimates for a 2% gain.
    • Consumer expenditures rose 4.3% while business investment slumped 5.5%

    Norm may get his wish after all.

    These results are not good - and I don't mean not good for Trump or Republicans, I mean these are not good results for the American people.

    I guess a debt financed trillion dollar stock by back wasn’t enough to overcome all the sand that idiot has thrown into the gears of commerce.

        What Billy Jingo said!
        The year's at the spring
        And day's at the morn;
        Morning's at seven;
        The hill-side's dew-pearled;
        The lark's on the wing;
        The snail's on the thorn:
        God's in his heaven—
        All's right with the world!

          Drink prune juice and you won't have to deal with that.

            So now the debt matters to you?

              Meh. I'm not going to run around flailing my arms in the air just yet. Disappointing, yes, but still positive. The Fed is going to trim the interest rate a bit. This can still be righted.

              I think that part of this could be just a leveling-off due to everything else being so much better. Wages are way up, unemployment practically doesn't exist anymore, people are moving up into better, higher-paying jobs (which is why every fast food place is hiring), and at some point we've just run out of people to go anywhere for a while.
              It's been ten years since that lonely day I left you
              In the morning rain, smoking gun in hand
              Ten lonely years but how my heart, it still remembers
              Pray for me, momma, I'm a gypsy now
