If the pictures are not somehow distorted, that's just sad. Why would she do that???? Whatever her politics, she was a very attractive woman.
"Since the historic ruling, the Lovings have become icons for equality. Mildred released a statement on the 40th anniversary of the ruling in 2007: 'I am proud that Richard’s and my name is on a court case that can help reinforce the love, the commitment, the fairness, and the family that so many people, Black or white, young or old, gay or straight, seek in life. I support the freedom to marry for all. That’s what Loving, and loving, are all about.'." - Mildred Loving (Loving v. Virginia)

          I second that.

Here's a pretty decent video of it (although still a bit blurry).

Looks like a lot of botox on the forehead. I'm not sure about the cheek issue. But yeah, she was a very attractive woman who should just age gracefully.

              I agree.

edit: I can't shake the notion that I see Nancy Pelosi's influence here.

I don't know too much about plastic surgery services but the BFF has had a partial face lift, botox injections, and whatever it is they stuff in your cheeks.

She's lovely under any conditions and she looked basically supernaturally beautiful after the face lift for a few months but sometimes she gets that filler stuff and looks like a space alien for about two weeks.

It does sort of calm down and even out eventually but holy cow! It's terrifying in the first week or so.

HRH says it's probably just fillers, which dissipate eventually. Let's hope so.

Yes, except people tend to get "addicted" to the fillers and the botox. I find that after a couple of times using the fillers, women look like the Joker around the mouth. While I should probably get some botox and fillers, I'm just not vain enough to do so. And I'm afraid I'll be that 1% that ends up with some horrid backfire that completely disfigures me.

                        "Should" why?

My hair is all silver and white. It's a good thing that it looks good on me, because I'm not even a little bit willing to put up with the rigmarole required to maintain a dye job.

I'm 67 years old. If I undergo a bunch of painful and costly procedures, nobody is going to believe I'm 30. With no changes at all, they sometimes think I'm in my 50s, but I don't care anyway. For what? To attract people much younger than I am? Uh, no - I don't have much in common with them, and I am generally attracted to people my own age and older.

People need to be OK living in their own faces.

I don't think anybody "should" feel pressured to get these treatments. The BFF has always been, let's say 'particular', about her looks. She uses a number of potions, gets injections, gets the hair - all that.

I like to turn up clean and appropriate. I'm something of a clothes horse but I know what makes me look good, not younger or sexier. That ship has sailed and I wouldn't be interested in booking a cruise anyway. Like Celeste, I'm fine the way I am and not looking for much else.

I have seen women in the 60 or 70 even very plus range who had face lifts and eye work and maybe some neck tightening and they looked fabulous! Not younger but better. Plus it seems to last quite a bit longer if you do it older. This was surgical, not fillers or botox.

There's something kind of weird if you talk with somebody who has a lot of fillers/injections up close. It's hard to describe. They don't look like teens or anything but they look sort of artificial. It's not the weird make-up thing that looks like that, it's something else. Their eyes are wrong or something.

It's definitely her cheeks that make her look different and the fact that her smile doesn't relax. Then there's her eyes.

She might be getting ready for an announcement next month...

May we raise children who love the unloved things - the dandelion, the worm, the spiderlings.
Children who sense the rose needs the thorn and run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards the sun...
And when they're grown and someone has to speak for those who have no voice,
may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tending tender things and be the one.

It was her neck. That’s what she could not live with.
