No and no serious knitter ever would. This has nothing to do with any "taboo" and everything to do with being an attention whore.

I have to say that I'm curious about the actual insertion. Wool is not a sterile product nor is there any way to decontaminate it without also felting it. If she's just jamming it in there, it's absorbing fluid (ick) while also inoculating her vagina with a large variety of microbial life - life her vagina is not prepared to repel or kill. Partially drying out the vaginal walls while simultaneously smearing sheep germs over the whole thing seems like a bad idea to me in health terms.

Artistically, it's about as "shocking" and "provoking" as every other tired vaginal reference. You really had to do your vagina art by 1974 to be transgressive.

If she wanted to shock her peers she should have knitted up a nice pair of socks and worn them proudly without any irony.

It's only the first week of January and we're already into re-runs?
        Enjoy.

Nah, I'd only wear one to attend the performance.

I'm just annoyed that women who pick up bad male habits still call those behaviors "feminist".

Everybody knows the guy who thinks the entire world revolves around his personal dick. This woman is just doing the same thing. It's worse really since it's even more boring.

You...you mean the world doesn't revolve around my dick?

Only if you have 3 Long Island iced teas.
"Since the historic ruling, the Lovings have become icons for equality. Mildred released a statement on the 40th anniversary of the ruling in 2007: 'I am proud that Richard’s and my name is on a court case that can help reinforce the love, the commitment, the fairness, and the family that so many people, Black or white, young or old, gay or straight, seek in life. I support the freedom to marry for all. That’s what Loving, and loving, are all about.'." - Mildred Loving (Loving v. Virginia)

Only you would understand how much I appreciate your thread.
May we raise children who love the unloved things - the dandelion, the worm, the spiderlings.
Children who sense the rose needs the thorn and run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards the sun...
And when they're grown and someone has to speak for those who have no voice,
may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tending tender things and be the one.

I'm sure you do appreciate my stance on vaginal wool insertion.

You can rest easy on that regard. LOL!
