I suspect that mine is omicron, since that seems to be most prevalent around here these days. That, and the very mild symptoms: low-grade fever (never more than 101 and I never really got that fever feeling), some general exhaustion for about 36 hours, and, at least in my case, an insatiable thirst. No cough, no headache, no loss of smell or taste (though I haven't had much of an appetite), no achiness. It has felt like just what I've heard omicron described as: basically, a bad hangover.
But I'm not really planning to got through more testing to find out which variant, because it's not worth my time and trouble to bother. Binary, AFAIC: it's a positive test, I'm already pretty much over it, and I'll go on with life secure in the knowledge that I've now gotten antibody protection.
The crappy part is being stuck quarantined for four more days, which means I had to cancel an appointment today with my surgeon and put it off for another two weeks, and I held out some home that she would finally rid me of this infernal machine.
