    2025 Political Tribes

So, where do you fit on this chart?

    Mark
Race Card: A tool of the intellectually weak and lazy when they cannot counter a logical argument or factual data.

"Liberals have to stop insisting that the world is what they want it to be instead of the way it is." - Bill Maher

Political correctness is ideological fascism. It’s the antithesis of freedom. Dr. Piper

Gender is not a "Social Construct", it is an outgrowth of biological reality.

Elements of all except dark red, dark blue, and green.
"Since the historic ruling, the Lovings have become icons for equality. Mildred released a statement on the 40th anniversary of the ruling in 2007: 'I am proud that Richard’s and my name is on a court case that can help reinforce the love, the commitment, the fairness, and the family that so many people, Black or white, young or old, gay or straight, seek in life. I support the freedom to marry for all. That’s what Loving, and loving, are all about.'." - Mildred Loving (Loving v. Virginia)

Where is antifa and lefty anarchists (anti-Western Civ, the patriarchy and all that)? I see all "anti-establishment" metrics appearing on the conservative side.

This raises my suspicion that the designers here have a clear idea where "the threat to democracy" is.
      • "I'm a hell of a lot smarter than most of you guys." — Joe Biden, at Jesse Jackson's funeral, March 2026.
      • "That's all I do in my life. I make deals. I'm really good at it." — President Donald Trump, Oct. 13, 2025.
      • “Inside every progressive is a totalitarian screaming to get out,” — David Horowitz.
      • "We [Democrats] are all willing to work with anyone who is serious about doing the work of censoring the American people, and advancing progress." — Ayanna Pressley, explaining progressives.
      • "Florida is where Woke goes to die." — Ron DeSantis.
      • "No one is above the law, and everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence." — Nancy Pelosi, explaining Lawfare.
      • “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety”— Ben Franklin, who got it right.
      • "The way I see it, there's always, c'mon, there's always money. It's there." — Elizabeth Warren, explaining socialism.
      • "The interesting thing about the Green New Deal is it wasn't originally a climate thing at all.... We really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing." — Saikat Chakrabarti, then AOC's Chief of Staff.

Well, it really depends on who's in power what "the establishment" means. If the "deep state" is as entrenched and powerful as y'all claim, I'd say that's currently "the establishment." And I assume antifa and friends are included in "hard left."

There's a problem with the data when it shows nobody being low on socially conservative and high on economic conservative. There are LOTS of us.
"Faith is nothing but a firm assent of the mind : which, if it be regulated, as is our duty, cannot be afforded to anything but upon good reason, and so cannot be opposite to it."

"It's all been melded together into one giant, authoritarian, leftist scream."

Yes, and like "everybody hates the Jews" (Lehrer) everybody campaigns for "change," usually the less defined the better ("hope and change").

One of the more interesting comments I remember was made by Bret Weinstein, the bio professor at Evergreen who was hounded out (and eventually, I believe, quit) during its notorious faceplant a few years ago. He is very, very liberal, of course, but said that his aspiration was to become conservative, noting that the objective of conservatism was to preserve what was best. Since the objective of liberals would be to change what is not yet best, their success would eventually produce a society worthy of conservative support.

I think his argument is flawed to the point of ridiculousness because liberal tinkering can't stop until everyone agrees we have arrived in Utopia. (Plus, unfortunately, most such tinkering is counterproductive, the more progressive the more severe that effect.
