Pittsburgh Man Thinks He's a Dog, Goes By Name 'Boomer'

Hey, why not? If its OK for some people to deny reality, why can't others? Who draws the line?

If a person can be gay, transsexual, trans abled, trans racial, why can't a guy be a dog?

Where does play time end and reality begin?

Boomer the dog has a bone to pick with the world. He wants to be accepted for his doggie lifestyle.

Born Gary Matthews, the retired technology worker and a self-confessed "nerd" thinks he is a dog. The 48-year-old wears a dog collar, eats dog food from a bowl — his favorite is Pedigree – and loves milk bones and dog cookies.

"I don't eat dog food every day," Matthews told ABCNews.com "It's a special thing for me to do once in awhile to get closer to feeling like a canine. I eat the canned kind. It's not bad -- it tastes OK. I eat regular human food, too, like pizza."

    Rest at link.

Boomer has the most fun wearing his dog suit, code-named "Papey," because he made it from shredded paper. He wanders around the streets of his hometown Pittsburgh, barking at cars and digging holes in the backyard.

Clearly, the right way to deal with this is to crop his ears and surgically attach a tail.

It's been ten years since that lonely day I left you
In the morning rain, smoking gun in hand
Ten lonely years but how my heart, it still remembers

I think about all the plastic in the oceans. A lot. More than I should. It really can depress me with its weight or make me try and dream up an efficient "scrubber." All kinds of stuff. I think it is safe to say that plastic in the oceans really irritates me to an unhealthy level.

You guys seem to have the same issue with where someone takes a piss and I simply do not understand.

You misunderstand. I'm concerned about a lot of things. Whether or not I have enough beer for the game tonight; what the next public art piece in my neighborhood will be; will I recoup the cost when I sell if I build a googyear room in the attic; lots of things.

I'm not talking about concern. And again, conservative obsession with trans issues are weird and I simply don't get it.

And the whole "reality" argument shows a near criminal lack of self awareness considering the conservative penchant for making their own reality and getting tetchy when others don't want to exist in it.

No one cares until you FORCE your beliefs on the rest of us. You think any of us give a shit about transsexuals? Not until they demand to use the restroom of their choice.

It doesn't matter to me if this "dog" chooses to piss on your leg, I just don't want him pissing on mine.

As to reality Billy, there is only one. And a man cannot become a woman no matter how hard he pines for it.

Well, when they force you to transition, I will get upset.

I think it's possible that the whole trans issue is bordering on obsession from both sides.

The left is obsessed with it. The right has been forced to deal with their obsession.

                        Not for me. I don't give a rat's ass.

If the president of the United States pleaded with me to turn over all my rats' asses in the name of national security, I would still posses every damn one of them.

I don't either, but the constant hoopla over it is sort of ridiculous. One is not a bigot if one doesn't want to pee in the same space as someone with genitalia different from one's own. We shouldn't need laws and protests and counter protests to have some common sense in a public restroom.

We have common sense now. The left wants to change that.
