    Did your life change today (inauguration)?

    Mine did not.

    Dennis Prager used this question today as part of his routine Friday 'Happiness Hour'.

    The 'Happiness Hour' is never about cat pix or spa routines, it's about making a rational decision to act happy despite your transient emotional feelings. Today, he asked that question.

    I was happy today but I was also happy when Obama was sworn in twice. I wasn't happy about that but neither did those events destroy my piece of mind. This is because I am not irrational.

    Although the Obama administration materially screwed me over, this did not destroy my entire life. I still had fun, did things with friends, made positive changes in my life, enjoyed hobbies and dogs, has sex, went to parties (hosted parties), etc.

    So, did your life change today?

      The year's at the spring
      And day's at the morn;
      Morning's at seven;
      The hill-side's dew-pearled;

        My life has not changed. Trump getting sworn in did not fix the ice maker, or the window in my car that came off its tracks, or improve the atmosphere enough for me to hear Thailand on shortwave. It did not fix my digestive system or buy me a new wireless mouse because the old one wore out.

        Life is pretty much the same.

        I really want one of those, but can't find anything that I can justify paying 3x what it costs at Target just to get the button. I'm of the understanding that, after your button arrives, you can actually take the product label off and alter the system to order literally anything available on Amazon, which is pretty cool.

          These are virtual ones, in the app. For me, they are mostly for stuff that we can't get at Target.

          I'd lose the real ones, between my son's disorganization, my tinkering and the curious cats.

                    I have to work a weekend day soon because I couldn't bill enough hours Friday. The noise under my window really messed up my voice-recognition software's performance.

Mildred released a statement on the 40th anniversary of the ruling in 2007: 'I am proud that Richard’s and my name is on a court case that can help reinforce the love, the commitment, the fairness, and the family that so many people, Black or white, young or old, gay or straight, seek in life. As am I. But I'm not a Democrat either.

                          I suspect the people whose lives most took a dramatic change on Jan. 20 are the now-unemployed Democrats, or those whose career expectations have been keenly altered by the election. For example, the many people who worked for the Clinton's Global Initiative racket, now unemployed.

                              My life didn't change, but every time Trump has a good day, I have a bad one.

                              When he won, I got bronchitis for four or five days.

                              Yesterday, my stomach went nuts. This is all Trump's fault. I hope Trump doesn't prevent me from getting an oil change this weekend.
