Michigan GOP congressman says Trump’s conduct impeachable

That would be Justin Amash, in this Politico report:
Michigan Rep. Justin Amash became the first Republican lawmaker to declare that President Donald Trump committed impeachable offenses and that Attorney General William Barr “deliberately misrepresented” special counsel Robert Mueller’s report.

Amash, whose libertarian views often put him at odds with Trump and his fellow Republicans, posted a series of tweets Saturday afternoon outlining positions that even some Democrats have been unwilling to embrace — an extraordinary development that comes as Democratic leaders face increasing pressure from progressives to launch impeachment proceedings.
As veteran broadcaster Warner Wolf might say, were he not preoccupied, "Let's go to the tweets!"

Amash writes, "Mueller’s report reveals that President Trump engaged in specific actions and a pattern of behavior that meet the threshold for impeachment."

    Obstruction of justice, apparently.

My fifteen minutes with this gentleman are almost up.

This will give the pro-impeachment Democrats the word "bipartisan" to support their cause, and make it a bit harder for anti-impeachment Dems like Pelosi to resist. I see in the Senate even Mitt Romney is tamping down impeachment talk.

Is the conservative Amash becoming a mole, a saboteur? Nah. He's just amuck, just in a mess.

Yep. As someone said, we no longer have separation of powers; we have separation of parties.

I can't say I disagree with two of his three assessments. I am not convinced that Trump himself has done anything impeachable. Like any good leader, he's left the dirty work the minions, and several of them are now in jail or facing jail time.

Name those "minions" who are in jail for Russian collusion.

There was apparently no collusion that the investigation could prove beyond a shadow of a doubt, hence no one in jail for that crime, and no president that can be impeached for it.

There were, however, other crimes that were uncovered in the process of the investigation, and those crimes led to jail time.

I'm not sure why I'm having to explain this to you, except that you are so far down Trump's butthole you can no longer see daylight OR common sense.

I know some folks on the teevee have already suggested that unrelated crimes uncovered should be overlooked because they weren't in the scope of the investigation, but that would upend a lifetime of policing at every level. Right now if you let the cops into your home because someone claims you were beating your wife, and they find pot, they'll take you to jail for the pot even if they find no evidence of spousal abuse. It's no different in a special investigation, apparently.

"Collusion" is not a chargeable crime, which is why Dear Leader's propaganda machine has conditioned everyone to keep repeating it. But Cohen, Flynn, and Papadopoulos all got pinched for making false statements about their contacts with Russia.
                Enjoy.

So, the answer is: none of "his minions" are actually in jail or facing jail time for anything even vaguely related to what you've spent the last two and a half years accusing him of. One guy got caught up in doing some sort of shady stuff regarding lobbying for another government years before Trump had even heard the guy's name, another ultimately pleaded guilty for lying to the FBI when even the FBI said that he didn't lie to them, but they were threatening to put his wife in prison, so he capitulated in order to save what was left of everything he had ever earned and saved in his life, another guy allegedly lied about something to the FBI that is quite a sketchy claim, but he also didn't want to wind up with his house in foreclosure, so he capitulated, and then you have a bunch of Russians who were indicted specifically because they would never, ever have to face a day in court, but then one of them showed up and demanded a day in court, and the Mueller team said "wait...we never thought you were actually coming, so we can't give you your day in court."

No one ever said anything should be overlooked, but your obviously spurious and dishonest claim that all sorts of people close to Trump were in prison because Trump is a crook is just unmitigated bullshit, and you damned well fucking know it.

                    Holy fucking revisionism, Batman!!!

You lying bastards spent two and a half years insisting up one side and down the other that "collusion" is what Trump did that warranted undoing the 2016 election and that it was the reason that he was somehow illegitimately elected, and then you all changed your tune as soon as Mullermas didn't come.

Don't you fucking dare try to claim that somehow it was the non-deranged who created some sort of "propaganda" about "collusion." It was fucking YOU all along, and you fucking know it, you lying fascist. You don't get to try to re-write history now, asshole. The rest of us in the sane world lived and and know better than to believe your bullshit revisionism, you serial-lying turdwagon.

You mixed up your analogy. If I let the police into my house due to an accusation of domestic battery, they find pot in my roommate's bedroom and they arrest him then the arrest does not substantiate the accusation against me in any way.

Same with Trump. People around him committed unrelated crimes, none of which substantiates any allegation against him.
