Trumpbot Carson announces that Cruz might be VP pick.

Ben Carson says Donald Trump’s list of possible running mates includes some awfully familiar names for anyone who’s followed the 2016 presidential race: New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

“Those are all people on our list,” Carson told the Washington Post.

The retired neurosurgeon, who endorsed Trump after dropping his own presidential bid, said that while he’s a member of the presumptive Republican nominee’s vice presidential search committee, he has no interest in being considered himself.

Carson “understands he’s a lightning rod for controversy,” the newspaper reported, “and Trump doesn’t need help sparking fires.”

But just last week, one of those people on Trump’s shortlist — Palin — said that she doesn’t want to a “burden” for Trump, either.

I keep hearing that anyone that plans on voting for Trump is a "Trumpbot" so I assume this includes Dr. Carson.

I hate to say it, because I really like the guy, but I'm really just sort of embarrassed for Carson nowadays. I see him and I can't help but think of Chester and Spike:

It's been ten years since that lonely day I left you
In the morning rain, smoking gun in hand
Ten lonely years but how my heart, it still remembers
Pray for me, momma, I'm a gypsy now

The only reason I don't think so is that she's a close personal friend of W's and the whole Bush family.

Cruz and Rubio would never be on a ticket with Trump. Coming from NJ, Christie brings nothing to the table but second helpings. Palin is so damaged so, no. It has to be Kasich so he'll deliver Ohio. I'm sure that's what he was running for once he figured out he wasn't going to be the nominee.

Kasich just announced that he would not be Trump's running mate.

You mean this "denial" he just made a few minutes ago on CNN?

Washington (CNN)John Kasich signaled Monday that he still harbors deep uneasiness with Donald Trump as the Republican nominee, declining to endorse him and reiterating that he will not serve as Trump's vice president.

Even now that he's left the race, Kasich is resisting calls to serve as Trump's No. 2, portraying his pitch and Trump's as fundamentally incompatible. Kasich said he was "not inclined" to run with Trump and that he had "not changed my mind."

"Those are two very inconsistent messages, so it would be very hard for me -- unless he were to change all of his views and become a uniter -- for me to get in the middle of this thing," the Ohio governor told CNN's Anderson Cooper in an exclusive interview, his first since leaving the race. "Because, you know, I'm undecided here about what I'm gonna do in this race."

Why isn't Carson Trump's running mate? They seem to really respect each other and Carson is far to the right. It makes sense to me.

It's my gut feeling that Carson will end up with a cabinet position if Trump is elected President.

Surgeon General would be good. He's a smart man with a good demeanor. I think he would be thoughtful in the position.

If only he hadn't blown that vaccination question. But maybe he was just pandering with that.

Maybe he could be Secretary of Agriculture and he could oversee construction of grain storage pyramids.
                    Enjoy.

So what? Hillary talks to ghosts, and you'll still vote or her.
