      Sorry. That, too, was criticized.

        2) Directly responsible for the highest rate of firearm sales in history.

Surely someone can think of something else. It's been 7 1/2 years.

Oh wait, never mind...it now costs me more then ever.

You can no longer be denied coverage for a critical condition (although companies look for ways to keep from paying).

                        .

Medical visits may be subject to the pre-existing condition rule, but that does not mean the medication to treat those conditions will be covered.

My preexisting coverage was better before the ACA as I always made sure I never had a gap in coverage greater then 90 days, even if I had to pay for a month or two out of pocket.

I've found with my diabetic relatives, they're looking for ways not to cover it.

My Mom's Medicare: "Oh, Medicare Part B covers that."

Part B: Sorry. If Human Gold Plus rejects it, then so do we.

My sister's insurance: We have a consumer driven plan (which is the professional way of saying to screw yourself).

I was fine with medications until one of them shot up probably three times as much overnight. I don't even know who to write to complain to because it's generic and they have different manufacturers. I'm not sure what happened. Right now, I still can get a discount with my pharmacy, but I don't think that will last long. I might be doing business with Canada yet.

That makes no sense. "My Mom's Medicare" is either a Part A plan or a Part B plan. One does not set the policies for another. What you're probably referencing is insulin, which is typically covered under Part A while in a few situations is covered under Part B. In either case, the EOB (explanation of benefits) for Humana Gold Plus denotes exactly what is covered and what isn't. If you're going to CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) to ask for approval or coverage you are doing it wrong. That is the purview of Humana. Only after they have denied coverage (and probably because they have not been properly contacted) do you appeal to CMS but only if it's explicitly covered in the EOB.

Call the plan or the insurance agent who sold them the policies. Then actually read the policies.

I'm not as dumb as you think I am. I've been going through this Medicare junk for years now. Sorry to be trump like today.

My mom doesn't take insulin yet. It's all oral. I was referring to the test supply and strips. I should have been more clear. It costs less just to buy the ones from CVS than to use insurance.

From what I can tell, Human Gold Plus is bottom of the barrel. I've been trying to tell my mom that for a while. Now that she's had too much trouble, she's about to speak with a rep about the issue. Anyway, what pharmacies, supply companies, and doctor offices usually tell me is that if Humana won't cover it, the more than likely the rest of it won't either.

I've read stuff on the website about what they cover and don't cover. I am smart and not so lazy. Seriously. Yeah, I've got to stop talking now.

on edit: I think most employer plans are consumer driven now or they have a high deductible to meet. I know mine's like that to a point.
