    Rooting for a great outcome!
"Since the historic ruling, the Lovings have become icons for equality. Mildred released a statement on the 40th anniversary of the ruling in 2007: 'I am proud that Richard’s and my name is on a court case that can help reinforce the love, the commitment, the fairness, and the family that so many people, Black or white, young or old, gay or straight, seek in life. I support the freedom to marry for all. That’s what Loving, and loving, are all about.'." - Mildred Loving (Loving v. Virginia)

Sounds as if you came through it like a trouper. Here's hoping that's the end of the pain for good! We've missed your posts, and it's damned hard to be amusing when you're in agony.

Thankful that you came through and can update us. Very Thankful.
May we raise children who love the unloved things - the dandelion, the worm, the spiderlings.
Children who sense the rose needs the thorn and run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards the sun...
And when they're grown and someone has to speak for those who have no voice,
may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tending tender things and be the one.

Still no pain. Weaned off of the meds used to combat the pain.
I havent posted much because of my eyesight.
Some years back an optometrist told me I had a small cataract in my left eye.
Recently I went to get new glasses and was told they couldnt do anything because of cataracts in both eyes. You dont notice as its gradual but eventually you realize you cant read things like road signs.
I have a preop appointment next week and will schedule removal one eye at a time,

Thanks for the update, wonderful news, Gramps! And, according to several of my friends, cataract surgery is quick and has truly amazing results.

Ditto all of the above. Great news about "no pain." You'll likely be annoyed at yourself for not getting the cataracts taken care of sooner.
