Tonight there was a baton twirler on. The twirler was decent. Nothing to really knock your socks off, if you asked me. Would be a decent talent on a Miss Teen USA pageant, and I'm sure would do okay on a college team. The hook: it was a 14 year old boy. I swear it was his maleness that got him through, but nobody would say it.

Just like the trans comedian a few weeks ago. I didn't think she was very funny.Originally posted by phillygirl View PostTonight there was a baton twirler on. The twirler was decent. I think I might have seen that. I haven't really been watching this season but recall a trans on some show, maybe this one, that I thought was pushed through because of that. I hate that. I'm also a bit tired of the dancer/technology bits. It was very cutting edge and interesting when the first act did it. Now it's just same old same old.Originally posted by scott View PostJust like the trans comedian a few weeks ago. I didn't think she was very funny.Not where I breathe, but where I love, I live...

Illuminate was the ground breaker and nobody has been as good since.

I agree with all of the above.
I have enjoyed seeing a lot of the young people on this season of AGT. Some of their stories are pretty heart touching.

He was young, can't remember his exact age. His goal is to twirl with a major university and eventual be a part of a Cirque du Soleil show.Originally posted by Lady Marva View PostBaton Twirling??????????? They still do that???????????
He did do a pretty good job, it's just not a million dollar act.

Thanks for the link. 3 batons at once. Can definitely see him twirling in a football half-game show.Originally posted by RobJohnson View PostHe was young, can't remember his exact age. His goal is to twirl with a major university and eventual be a part of a Cirque du Soleil show.

C'mon, people, you're jaded. The kid not only twirled, he juggled 3 batons WHILE twirling! And dancing. I have a nephew who has done juggling professionally, and it's no piece of cake.Originally posted by RobJohnson View PostHe was young, can't remember his exact age. I don't watch the show, but I checked out the linked clip. I'm impressed."Since the historic ruling, the Lovings have become icons for equality. Mildred released a statement on the 40th anniversary of the ruling in 2007: 'I am proud that Richard’s and my name is on a court case that can help reinforce the love, the commitment, the fairness, and the family that so many people, Black or white, young or old, gay or straight, seek in life. I support the freedom to marry for all. That’s what Loving, and loving, are all about.'." - Mildred Loving (Loving v. Virginia)

Or wear a tank top under it! I'm astonished the poor kid could twirl at all with all that hanging out.Originally posted by Lady Marva View PostThanks for the link. 3 batons at once. Can definitely see him twirling in a football half-game show.

Who knew there was something gayer than men's olympic figure skating?The year's at the spring
And day's at the morn;
Morning's at seven;
The hill-side's dew-pearled;
The lark's on the wing;
The snail's on the thorn:
God's in his heaven—
All's right with the world!

How is that even possible??? Just amazing!May we raise children who love the unloved things - the dandelion, the worm, the spiderlings.
Children who sense the rose needs the thorn and run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards the sun...
And when they're grown and someone has to speak for those who have no voice,
may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tending tender things and be the one.

The kid was a good baton twirler. But would you actually pay money in Vegas to see that act for an hour? He got bonus point for being a boy.Originally posted by Celeste Chalfonte View PostC'mon, people, you're jaded. The kid not only twirled, he juggled 3 batons WHILE twirling! And dancing.
