    America's Got Talent

    Tonight there was a baton twirler on. The twirler was decent. Nothing to really knock your socks off, if you asked me. Would be a decent talent on a Miss Teen USA pageant, and I'm sure would do okay on a college team. The hook: it was a 14 year old boy. I swear it was his maleness that got him through, but nobody would say it.

    Just like the trans comedian a few weeks ago. I didn't think she was very funny.

      I think I might have seen that. I haven't really been watching this season but recall a trans on some show, maybe this one, that I thought was pushed through because of that. I hate that. I'm also a bit tired of the dancer/technology bits. It was very cutting edge and interesting when the first act did it. Now it's just same old same old.

        Yep.

        Illuminate was the ground breaker and nobody has been as good since.

          I agree with all of the above.

          I have enjoyed seeing a lot of the young people on this season of AGT. Some of their stories are pretty heart touching.

              He was young, can't remember his exact age. His goal is to twirl with a major university and eventual be a part of a Cirque du Soleil show.

              He did do a pretty good job, it's just not a million dollar act.

                Thanks for the link. 3 batons at once. Can definitely see him twirling in a football half-game show.

                  C'mon, people, you're jaded. The kid not only twirled, he juggled 3 batons WHILE twirling! And dancing. I have a nephew who has done juggling professionally, and it's no piece of cake.

                  I don't watch the show, but I checked out the linked clip. I'm impressed.

                    Or wear a tank top under it! I'm astonished the poor kid could twirl at all with all that hanging out.

                      I don't think he was paying much attention to the ladies...

                        Who knew there was something gayer than men's olympic figure skating?
                        The year's at the spring
                        And day's at the morn;
                        Morning's at seven;
                        The hill-side's dew-pearled;
                        The lark's on the wing;
                        The snail's on the thorn:
                        God's in his heaven—
                        All's right with the world!

                          How is that even possible??? Just amazing!
                          May we raise children who love the unloved things - the dandelion, the worm, the spiderlings.
                          Children who sense the rose needs the thorn and run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards the sun...
                          And when they're grown and someone has to speak for those who have no voice,
                          may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tending tender things and be the one.

                            The kid was a good baton twirler. But would you actually pay money in Vegas to see that act for an hour? He got bonus point for being a boy.
