There's Only One Terrifying Reason for a Woke Indoctrinated Military and This Is It

The push to wokeness in the military has been discussed over recent years, going back at least to this thread in 2017, No transgenders in the military? - Not Everything is Political (notpolitical.info), started by Lanie. Someone here once suggested they couldn't imagine American soldiers firing on Americans. Yours truly suggested that the ideological purification of the forces was intended to change that.

This essay underlines the thought, and sees the military becoming like so many militaries around the world, a praetorian guard and domestic police force.

There's Only One Terrifying Reason for a Woke Indoctrinated Military and This Is It – PJ Media (Stephen Green)

It leads with a provocative image:

I think there's a possibility the military will be called on to "save democracy" by blocking Donald Trump from taking office.

If you a top military commander and you believe Trump is an existential threat to democracy, does it makes sense to supinely give him authority over you? To decide how you will deploy your forces? I believe absolutist rhetoric, such as Nancy Pelosi saying firmly, "Donald Trump will not be president," invites extremism.

A footnote, in line with an earlier post by Adam in Lanie's thread above,

It won't work. The US civilian population is heavily armed. As long as that is true there won't be any mass compliance with Martial Law.

Plus that fact that 0.4% of the US population are active duty military and 6.9% of the US population are past military I like the odds.

When people worried that one Bush or another would use a crisis to remain in power, you-all were derisive of the paranoia.

            Take a deep breath.

Besides, if it comes down to civil war, it won't matter who wins -- we're all fucked.

Mildred released a statement on the 40th anniversary of the ruling in 2007: 'I am proud that Richard’s and my name is on a court case that can help reinforce the love, the commitment, the fairness, and the family that so many people, Black or white, young or old, gay or straight, seek in life. I support the freedom to marry for all. That’s what Loving, and loving, are all about.'." - Mildred Loving (Loving v. Virginia)

I don't see a civil war at all; that's not the way suppression works.

A little terrorism goes a long way. You don't sent an army after all the pro-life protesters, for example, you pick one and overwhelm them with a show of force, humiliation, judicial persecution and personal destruction.... Most people will keep their heads down. In this paragraph I'm thinking of Mark Houck (Wife of pro-life activist Mark Houck speaks out after FBI arrest (nypost.com) )
The wife of the Catholic pro-life activist who was arrested in front of their children by dozens of heavily armed federal agents told Fox News on Wednesday that the “devastating” raid has left their family traumatized and in need of counseling.

Mark Houck, an outspoken pro-life activist and author from Pennsylvania, was arrested early last Friday in front of his wife and seven children at his rural Kintnersville home in Bucks County after dozens of FBI agents showed up on his lawn and began pounding on their front door. In an exclusive interview on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Wednesday, Houck’s wife, Ryan-Marie, recounted the moment she looked out her front window to find roughly 25 uniformed agents with guns and shields surrounding her front door.

“My entire front yard, you could barely see it, it was covered with at least 15 big trucks and cars,” the mother of seven said. “There were 20, 25, 30, men, women, completely in jackets with shields and helmets and guns. They were behind cars. It was something I would never expect to see on my front lawn.”

Ryan-Marie said the agents raided their home with “guns drawn,” on her family, describing in an earlier interview how they put her husband in “shackles” while her children watched in fear.

“It was devastating,” she told host Tucker Carlson. “As you can imagine, it’s hard to even express the victimization and how traumatized we all are due to this unnecessary thing that happened to us.”

Ryan-Marie said her children have been “crying” and are afraid to sleep alone since her husband’s arrest.

“The older ones, we can talk, we can cry. We’ve had some counseling, we have more counseling to do,” she told Tucker Carlson. “And the little ones, they’re scared. There’s a lot of crying and a lot of unrestful sleep. A lot of kids in our bed at night and in the morning.”

And this, note "for reasons unknown":
The raid and subsequent arrest reportedly stemmed from an altercation Houck, 48, had with a Planned Parenthood escort in Philadelphia in October 2021, when he was accused of pushing a 72-year-old man outside the clinic after the escort allegedly verbally harassed Houck’s 12-year-old son. The pro-life father, who routinely engages in prayerful protests outside abortion clinics, is co-founder and president of The King’s Men, a Catholic ministry that aims to spiritually mentor young men.

The Philadelphia Police Department confirmed to Fox News Digital that officers responded to the Planned Parenthood on the afternoon of October 13 last year, but that no charges were filed against Houck, and he was not arrested. The Philadelphia district attorney also declined to prosecute Houck over the incident.

But for reasons unknown, Houck’s case caught the attention of the Justice Department. In May, he received a “target letter” from the DOJ telling him he was being investigated by a grand jury for violating the Freedom of Access Clinic Entrances Act, or FACE Act, which makes it a federal crime to use force with the intent to injure, intimidate and interfere with anyone because that person provides reproductive health care.

A footnote to this experience for Mark and his family: Pro-Life Activist Arrested by FBI Acquitted on Federal Charges (yahoo.com)

                Nevermind....

For another example, for all the agony expressed about racist lynchings a century ago, it's actually surprising how few black people were actually lynched. The point is, again, a little terror goes a long way.

I personally know a couple of women in another state who attended the J6 demonstration with a church group. They weren't involved with anything untoward, but they are anxious, and for good reason. The FBI has incentivized its agents with bonuses for new arrests in the J6 travesty. Someone said some months ago that there might be 1,000 more arrests to come. True or not, this is stuff they pay attention to, and they are quiet.

Traitor Joe doesn't need "F-16s" to take down "domestic terrorists." He's got Andrew (Lavrenty Beria) Weissmann working for him.

I don't remember where I first heard this little conspiracy theory, but it was within the past year. It's a four-step process:
                  1. 2016, A one-sided news media and dirty tricks would defeat Trump, and the MAGA rubes, descendants of the Tea Party rubes, would wither and fade away. That didn't work, sending shock waves through the Deep State.
                  2. 2020, the corrupt intel community and ballot box chicanery would destroy Trump. Well, they successfully knocked him out of the White House, but he still looks strong.
                  3. 2024, lawfare will destroy him and his family. No one will vote for a convicted felon. They will ruin him financially, cancel his campaign calendar, whatever it takes.
                  4. Also 2024, should a one-sided media, ballot box chicanery, a corrupt intel community and barratry (common law) wiki fail, the military will step in to save democracy, and prevent Donald Trump from taking office.
